Welcome

Senatus Jubilee Pilgrimage Prayers June to July 2025 Page 150Please pray the Pilgrimage Prayers on the next page for the pilgrims, daily, beginning today, until their return, and they in turn will be praying for everyone and taking everyone with them spiritually to all the holy places.

Dear legionaries and Spiritual Directors,

As many of you are aware, the Senatus Jubilee Pilgrimage to France, Ireland and Italy is taking place from 2nd June until 4th July this year, for a total of 33 days. Whilst a small number of legionaries have signed up I'm aware that many more legionaries found the itinerary attractive and very much wanted to participate.

Of your charity I would like to request all legionaries under the umbrella of the Senatus in Australia and in the Islands to also pray these prayers daily from today until all the pilgrims return in July.

In union of prayers through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary,

Sr Caroline Fernandez

St Thérèse: A Life of Love in the Heart of the Church

With great joy we commence our Summer School on the theme of ‘The Teachings of the Little Flower: Celebrating the Centenary of the Canonisation of St. Thérèse of Lisieux’. My talk is to set the scene: her life, her family, her vocation – especially as known through her memoirs written by order of her superiors at the Carmelite Convent, and published after her death under the wonderful title, Story of a Soul. If you haven’t read it, I do greatly encourage you. The title comes from the opening words of her manuscript: ‘Springtime story of a little white flower written by herself and dedicated to the Reverend Mother Agnes of Jesus.’ (Mother Agnes, the prioress, was actually Thérèse’s sister, Pauline.) ‘It is to you, dear Mother, to you who are doubly my Mother, that I come to confide the story of my soul.’ [Click here to continue]

The Role and Spirit of the Legion

The Legion of Mary is an international Catholic lay organisation, which aims to collaborate in the Church's mission of evangelisation. Its members engage in the direct religious apostolate, especially towards those most remote from the Church's influence. In the spiritual formation of its members the Legion places much emphasis on the doctrine of the Mystical Body of Christ, on seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and on the performance of apostolic work in union with Mary.

Members place themselves at the service of Mary, and wish to help her in her mission as "Mother of the Church."
